Bioscan Research develops, designs and manufactures portable, non-invasive medical devices for early detection of traumatic brain injury. Its flagship product, CEREBO®, uses near-infrared spectroscopy combined with adaptive machine learning and proprietary optoelectronic hardware to detect intracranial haemorrhage rapidly at the point of care. The company integrates optical systems, embedded electronics and signal-processing algorithms in-house to deliver a compact, computerized device intended for use in emergency, defence, primary care and tertiary health settings where access to CT imaging may be limited.
