Shanduka Black Umbrellas is a non-profit incubation enterprise development service provider which seeks to deliver real and meaningful transformation through empowered business growth. Members are provided with a working environment and support services that will enable their businesses to thrive. Our fundamental purpose is to collaborate with partners in the private sector, government, and civil society to address the low levels of entrepeneurship and high failure rate of 100% black owned emerging businesses in South Africa. Shanduka Black Umbrellas currently supports over 50 businesses in its four incubators located in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Pretoria and affords meaningful opportunities for companies to ensure their enterprise development contributions make a real difference to South Africa’s economic future. We promote entrepeneurship as a desirable career choice by building the profile and image of existing entrepeneurs and along with this, growing our knowledge and quality of service offerings by accurately measuring, monitoring and reporting on all we do. Through our blackpages initiative, we enable procurement opportunities for 100% black owned businesses.
