International Finance Corporation (IFC) is the private-sector arm of the World Bank Group that promotes private sector development in emerging markets. It provides investment, advisory, and asset-mobilization services—including loans, equity, trade finance, and technical advice—to create markets, expand access to finance, and improve environmental, social, and governance practices across more than 100 countries.
