Jamhuri OS

Jamhuri OS is an Africa-built mobile and embedded operating system developed by innovators at Career Craft Training Institute in Maai Mahiu, Naivasha, Kenya. Built on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), it provides a modular, secure, and AI-ready platform with on-device inference, offline-first capabilities, localized language packs (including Swahili, Amharic, Hausa, and Zulu), a sovereign app ecosystem with an African-run app store and local payment integrations, and developer SDKs that enable existing Android apps to run with minimal changes across mobile, embedded, kiosk, enterprise, and government devices.
