Kasupe Cooking Oil (KCO)

Kasupe Cooking Oil (KCO) is a Malawi-based agro-processing venture that sources sunflower seeds from smallholder farmers in Mchinji District and processes them into affordable, high-quality cooking oil. By producing oil locally, KCO reduces transportation costs, strengthens farmer incomes through direct market access, and improves access to essential food products for households, retailers, schools, and health institutions. The venture combines climate-smart agriculture, local value addition, and sustainable processing to create economic opportunities while contributing to food security and rural development.
