MDIF is a New York-registered not-for-profit 501(c)(3) public charity and mission-driven investment fund that provides low-cost financing (affordable debt, equity and quasi-equity), technical assistance and grants to independent news and information businesses in challenging environments around the world. From 1996 to Dec 31, 2024 it provided more than $327.8 million in financing and support and has invested in over 157 clients across 50 countries.
