Tanganyika Blue (Tanlake Samaki)

Tanganyika Blue develops sustainable aquaculture in Lake Tanganyika, focusing on breeding and farming endemic Tanganyika tilapia rather than introduced species. It operates pilot and commercial cage-farming facilities, plans a hatchery and fish-processing operation, and sells fresh fish through its Kigoma sales point and distributors. Through the Kigoma Aquahub, it also aims to provide training, research facilities, fingerlings, feed, and advisory support to smallholder fish farmers.
