WEGE Company is a Burundian social enterprise that manufactures and sells NDIHOSE PACKAGE, an affordable, durable packaging alternative to single-use plastic. It upcycles banana pseudo-stems and other agricultural residues, rice straw, and recovered paper into reusable, recyclable packaging that composts within about a week. The company sources materials through local farmers, cooperatives, printing firms, and waste-management partners, while creating local employment and promoting circular-economy practices.
