This report provides an in-depth analysis of the climate tech venture ecosystem in Latin America and the Caribbean region. It captures insights from over 600 ventures across 10 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, showcasing the growth and the interplay of the ecosystem. This market report utilises data and insights to show that the ecosystem is at the inflection point ripe for growth and how different ecosystem players can contribute to that growth. The aim of the report is to provide actionable insights into the gaps and opportunities for climate tech ventures and the types of funding models and support that can contribute to developing the ecosystem. This report is part of the CATAL1.5°T Initiative, a global effort to promote local climate tech innovation in emerging markets. The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the initiative is implemented by GIZ together with EIT Climate-KIC and regional partners. It supports early-stage entrepreneurs and ventures working on climate solutions in West Africa and Latin America.
