This detailed study by Briter Bridges, a business intelligence company and Timon Capital, a venture capital firm, was based on a survey of 48 companies across four key African countries (Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa) and analysis of the demographics of 1,079 co-founders.

The report addresses the lack of accessible and comparable compensation data in African tech, a significant barrier for both local and international companies when setting competitive salary benchmarks. It provides a foundation for more informed conversations about fair compensation and talent retention.
