Seeds of Impact (3rd Edition): a directory of agrifood companies driving impact in Africa

'Seeds of Impact' (impact directory for agtech and agrifood innovators in Africa) is now in its third edition, profiling 51 agtech and agrifood ventures driving change across Africa. That's 20 new profiles added to the 31 from edition two.

Across those 51 companies: 46 report a positive net income improvement for the farmers and clients they serve, 45 have workforces where women make up more than a quarter of staff, and 36 say at least a quarter of their farmers have adopted climate-smart practices, with four supporting over 100,000 hectares of land under sustainable cultivation.

Built on self-reported data and founder interviews from across the continent, it offers a practical snapshot of how impact measurement is evolving inside African agtech and agrifood businesses, and why it matters for both performance and sustainability.

The directory's framework, developed with ISF Advisors alongside founders and funders, groups impact into three areas: farmer and client outcomes, climate and land use, and gender and employment.

Together, the 51 profiles show how African agtech is learning to link technology, business performance, and sustainability, one company at a time.
